Managing Allergic Triggers in Asthma
The ‘Allergies’ Toolkit supports the management of asthma patients whose allergic triggers are poorly controlled: aiming to reduce exacerbations, admissions and improve symptom control. Emphasis is placed on identifying patients who do not have an asthma action plan, documented triggers or history of a skin prick / IgE test. Specific searches are incorporated to identify ‘at risk’ patients in advance of seasonal peaks in asthma exacerbations.
